Promotion Duration and Yearly Increment
How many years does it take to get promoted to senior software engineer if you’re joining as a new grad at Linkedin ? How much increment can you expect per year on an average ?

LinkedIn promos to senior are very fast iirc, so maybe 4-5 years? Increments depend on your initial package. Mind sharing?

Depends very heavily on the team. Some teams it’s 1 - 2 years, others its 4-5 years. Some Seniors are clearly staffs on other teams, some swe are clearly senior on other teams. It’s not very uniform.

Any idea on year to year increment? I have been told its 5 % by friends, but that sounds a little low..
