Interviewing for a Senior Associate role @ PwC in client strategy, currently have 4 YOE. Live in South Carolina. What should my salary expectations be for this role based on YOE & State. Completed phase one over the phone interview. Recruiter advised 60K TC firmly. (Does this mean I cannot negotiate?) Phase two video interview coming up shortly. #pwc #salary #salarycomparison #salarynegotiation
60k? This position sounds like itโs for our acceleration center. If it is, donโt take it. That isnโt actual PwC consulting - itโs offices we have in lower cost of living areas (South Carolina, Shanghai, Bangalore) that the core consulting practice leverages to get work done faster+cheaper. A senior associate in PwC advisory/consulting makes about 110-130 base depending on level and location, and then a bonus on top. If it is in the strategy& division, they make 150-180 base. This is definitely the AC, and you donโt want it. The pay is terrible, the work is monotonous and boring, and you donโt get to work with clients much.
I think youโre right it is an AC, what I was told was itโs basically lower in pay because of geographical location :/ do you think if I ever relocated I could apply out for โinternalโ PwC positions?
You can bet on about $100k. Consulting pays like shit until you're at the very top, which few people get to.
Lol they offered me 60K TC ๐
