Ive been thinking about a career change and have picked up python. im only 25 so it wont be too hard to learn but say I went to apply for a job in the CS world. would recruiters care if you have a total different degree? even if you understand it all? itll take some time for me to become proficient on it but figured id pop the question.

Sony iXgsmg Feb 12, 2020

of course. Some companies don't even require degrees anymore. You could also look into boot camps.

The harder problem for you will be to get interviews without experience. Entry-level is already pretty saturated. Reach out to your friends and acquaintances who are is tech and ask for referral.
