Help me determine if I have a competitive offer please! Company: Deloitte (GPS) Title: Change management consultant Location: NYC Base: 90k Sign on bonus: 5k Performance bonus: up to 13% I’m an experienced hire with 5 years relevant experience. A current Deloitte employee told me they lowball experienced hires and to negotiate for 115 but they didn’t budge. #consulting #deloitte #offer
I came in as experienced hire with 3 yrs experience at $95k
Wouldn’t say out right low-balled, depends on your actual experiences and if they’re 1-1 with consulting. Would say it is on the lower end if your experience is very relevant- however, if it isn’t then I say it’s decent
You are probably getting comments from people across deloitte. Unfortunately level is only one factor. For example there are consultant level people in our M&A practice that would be more in the 100-120k range for norm. Change management unfortunately is not as high $ value position. - what portfolio alignment are you in based on offer letter
😀😀😀Forget about that 13% bonus told you
Not too low but kind of lower than mid of the range. Say 105 min or you walk.
If you have 5 yrs of relevant experience in US, then this is not a good offer. If it's outside US, then an average offer.
A friend was got an offer from GPS based on DC at 115k with similar experience to yours
FYI this is for a Senior consultant position
I joined Deloitte right after college and it’s been 2 years since then. After 2 years my base is 90k. For 5 years of experience you should definitely have a higher base salary
I was offered 95k and 7k sign on in NYC. Although I had a competing offer. experienced hired, 4 years You totally got low balled.
Super good to know. Thanks!
To give you some insight, Deloitte has irresponsibly acquired 5 businesses (i can’t name which), so they have little money to raise salaries. A buddy of mine left the firm because they didn’t give him a raise above inflation for practically 4 years. It’s a place to join if you want great experience tho
