Don’t ghost people?
He/she stopped replying to the posts even on Blind. Professional ghoster this recruiter!
Nope, but when I’m at dinner with my family I’d rather be present with them
1. Reply to emails on time. 2. Don't provide half baked information over an email and keep us hanging. That anxiety doesn't help. We can handle bad news just fine. No need to create a suspense.
Build relationships, connect with everyone you meet. Think of it like a virtual handshake.
But how do I do that? Especially when there’s a negative connotation attached to my title?
Start with the two points I mentioned above. Good and timely communication goes a long way in building trust.
Main issue with me is communication. Early in the process I get that you have a lot of people so not that big of a deal. But later in the process it’s kind of annoying if you take more than a day to respond to an email. Also I’ve had recruiters randomly call me without setting up a meeting or even a heads up email before hand which is super annoying
Okay, I agree. If it wasn’t about KPI’s and making sure I make X amount a calls a day... trust me I’d be emailing you all instead of calling
Don't send a template email saying how amazing I am and how impressed you are with my skills and background. We all know it's a copy paste and not personal. Once had someone send me an email like this and they forget to replace some random name with my own.
My first week in the job I made that mistake... will never do it again.
hire me
Private message me
Give an update by Friday if candidate is waiting. Don't make them wait over the weekend. That's the worst.
I’ll do that for all my candidates in process tomorrow
Don’t lowball candidates, especially the really good ones. Chances are that they understand their market value.
I would never, considering the more money you make the more money i make
> the more money you make the more money i make Is this an industry-wide norm? I’ve heard of people being low-balled multiple times. Curious if sometime recruiters (maybe in some companies) have incentives to low-ball.
If we talk and along the way you think that maybe I'm not a good fit for a job, then just tell me that. Don't ghost me.
Okay, Im seeing a common theme of people being ghosted by a lot of recruiters
Get us higher TC.
We try, we get paid based on the salary you’re paid. The more money you make, the more money I make.
Isn't it the recruiters job to screw us over much as possible?
