Hi, I was told by some people in the industry that people instead of blindly applying through companies' website and running the risk of ending up on the wrong side of an Applicant Tracking System software's resume filtering, that they either apply via referrals to companies or use partnerships with dedicated recruiting firms which have inside connections with customer companies. Any good leads on dedicated recruiting firms with whose recruiters one can partner with? Looking for devops/devsecops/cloud security type opportunities. Thanks!
1. ATSs donโt filter out resumes. Recruiters and sourcers do. In the rare situation where a filter is applied, a recruiter or sourcer put in the parameters of the filter. 2. Donโt use an agency unless youโre looking for a contract. Most large tech companies have their in house recruiters handle FTE roles, while they have agencies take on the contact positions. 3. A referral is the way to go. It doesnโt guarantee an interview, but it does mean a recruiter will look at your resume.
Thanks. What if someone isn't able to get a referral in a target company?
