I had a final round last week and the recruiter followed up today thanking me for coming in and asking if I have time to connect tomorrow. Is this a rejection?
Could be good news. I got rejected over email by Facebook with a follow up for feedback afterwards.
What was your feedback!
Close but no cigar. They then rang me up 2 weeks later offering me the job after their first choice candidate went elsewhere.
if it was a rejection they wouldnt bother bringing you in. That would be a waste of time for everyone
It was to schedule a call not an inperson follow up
Still, they would likely reject by email
I got rejected over a phone call like this after the onsite interview once. This could go either way, don't think too much. You can't control what happens from here. Just take it as it comes. All The Best! As they say, hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Thanks a lot
A clear indication that it is a reject, if the recruiter wants you to schedule time at your convenience. Clearly there is no rush to provide you the good news.
I recently had a similar experience with a Series A startup. In the call the recruiter asked me about how I liked the process and if I understood the roles and responsibilities. She also confirmed that if given an offer, I’d take it. And finally she said that the team is happy with me and want to extend an offer. She later spoke about my salary expectations and relocation related stuff. Stay positive! Good luck!
