Hi Blind Community, Would appreciate any feedback on my resume. Targeting PM/PO jobs in the US. #productmanagement #mentor #feedback #resume #pm #productmanager #product
I don't review many resumes at the HR level but I'd cut all the verbiage around these roles turn it all into bullet points, focus on 3-5 biggest wins per role, get those into 1-3 line bullets. For example for the current role a bullet could be. - Owned 3 products blah blah that saved $1.5mm in delinquent payouts with full compliance blah blah -Manage team of 20+ SLDC resources which do blah blah blah with $bigassimpact blah blah -Built and rolled out org wide product framework blah blah -blah blah blah something with a $Impact blah blah blah
Lot of words. Try making it into one page with key highlights in correlation with the roles you apply to. You can always talk more about things you haven't mentioned in your resume during your interviews:)
As everyone else has said—way too wordy. Get rid of your sections within each role and focus on business outcomes/impact
One Page! See examples at Exponent blogs
You are 5 years out of college .. you are not mid-career !
IMO: I’m gunna be straight, this is bad. - condense entire profile section into one sentence (imagine writing a product vision statement) - each work experience section should consist of a few and well thought out bullet points, on impact/metrics and how you’ve done that (no one cares about day-to-day activities) - completely delete certification and competencies section - that should condense you to a one-pager
Sheesh that’s a lot of words
