Hi, my resume got rejected from Bloomberg London and Palantir London without any reason. I've companies like Microsoft, Meta and Expedia in my resume. What could be the reason for that? TC: 150k GBP Yoe: 7 #Meta #Bloomberg #Palantir #Microsoft #Resume #Layoff
Tech job market is hideous right now. I’m a PM, I talk to my friends in tech, SWE, designers, PMs same boat. Very few email responses, even fewer interviews.
What about tenure? Job hopping looks very bad unless you are applying for entry-level positions.
Do you need visa sponsorship? That also might be the reason. There are so many people available on the market that companies don’t want to pay extra.
Resumes need to be achievement/results based. What did you do at those companies? No one cares if you worked at Big Tech - I don't hire based on prestige. Source: I'm a hiring manager
And yea might also just be your resume is just not good format wise or even content wise like he said
I don't worry about format. Just make sure you can spell. In an ideal world, it should be formatted like a pro did it. At this point, I am happy with something that doesn't look like you are a character in an RPG.
Perhaps, I don't know, apply to more than two companies?
If you need help with your resume you can hit me up
big name company’s don’t guarantee a job offer lol but you should post the resume bc no one can really tell you anything w/o seeing it. also job market is just bad so it’s probably not you or your resume
Banks are hiring if you’re willing to join and wait it out. London is full of banks…
Flashy resumes are advice from 2010, now robots are screening your resumes, not humans.
Redact and post your resume. Without that it’s a useless poll
