1 vs 5 Million - no lifestyle change
With recent Robinhood layoffs and current company conditions. How much are stocks/ investments made through Robinhood at risk?. Is it safe to keep investing through Robinhood or it's best we move to some other app. TC 150K #investments #robinhood #personalfinance #tech
The layoffs don't affect company liquidity. Look at the balance sheet (6 B) and look at the burnrate and profit target. They actually said they want to do M&A by buying other companies so I would say your funds should be safe.
go somewhere else, not worth the risk, also almost all other brokerages have 0 commission now. Some donāt have PFOF
None has no PFOF. If you think it's no PFOF, you are even getting played worst hand. You think they are doing charity? How would they make money is no PFOF. It's old school firms which doesn't want new class of startups succeed. Think Hilton saying bad things about AirBnB in press.
Then read this about Fidelity: āBoth brokers earn money from interest earned from cash, margin interest, portfolio margining, stock loan programs, and payment for order flow. However, Fidelity is much more transparent around its payment for order flow activity. The broker does not accept PFOF for equity trades.ā
I am moving my investments away to Fidelity/Schwab because stock market isnāt a playgroud. You buy and hold. Fidelity/Schwab is better for that obviously and much safer. You donāt have to worry about them going bankrupt.
Thatās why every brokerage account is covered by SIPC insurance.
Fidelity rocks
