Hi All, I am interviewing at Roblox and wanted to see what TC I can expect? YoE: 2.5 TC: $173k #recruiting
Wow yeah please teach me, how do you make $173k with 2.5 YOE in recruiting??
More than likely they have more than 2.5 years experience. Meta pays well, but not that well for that level of experience.
2.5 YOE with 175k TC? Come on bro.
Legit what it is, dunno why that is surprising?
I feel like a lot of that has to be equity.
Started recruiting in Feb 2020, was in corporate sales for 4 years before so idk if you want to count that as relevant exp
Hi! Can you talk a little bit about going from sales to recruiting, I am trying to make this switch but getting a lot of rejections mainly because of lack of experience in recruiting
Yeah it likely counts and def counts for your YOE at meta to be at IC4 with that comp
Roblox can prob pay a little higher and you’re getting a premium on the stock price if u get in while it’s this low
Higher than that with less than 3 YOE?
If they get L4 at roblox yes, not sure if hiring team would stop that though with yoe, might depend on how strong they interview
TC is believable honestly I have 3YOE and cleared 200K in 10 months at a recruiting agency
I talked to their recruiter who was older, maybe over 55. Wonder what she gets paid with her years of experience recruiting.
or less
Or maybe she makes more bc she has experience, depending on her track record, usually with age comes wisdom. With knowledge comes higher pay. Corporate recruiting will pay based on years experience, depending on the value you add. In agency environment it’s different. Let’s imagine you work for yourself. If you place 12 people in a year and earn 25% commission on each ones 200k salary. Math is pretty good there. If you do 24 people at 4-500k with a 30% commission the math is really good. Can this be done? Yes it can. Middle to low tech workers see recruiters as a bother, executive level is more like talent management of elite players. I’d advise people to appreciate good people you meet and give everyone a chance. Recruiting is a little bit like code in the sense that sometimes it’s the best other times is not perfect and difficult to fix. Is that always your direct fault as a developer? Absolutely not. But we all have to make the best of what we’re given. Humans are the most complex product with the most variables. It’s hard to get it right no matter how good you supposedly are.
OP Are you based in high cost?
What level are u at meta? What level is the role at roblox?
IC4
