Why are SAP consultant roles paid less compared to SWE roles ?

For the same reason prod support is paid less. Fewer people are capable of being SWE. All SWE can do SAP and prod support. Not all SAP and prod support can do SWE. It's a waste of talent when I see smart people doing SAP

My friend in L&T makes 11L as SAP consultant.
