I have relaxed PM life at SAP but 110k, recently offered by amazon as Program Manager role when 160k. What shud I do, how is work life balance at Amazon (heard scary stories). Wondering what to do as I’m expecting a baby soon.

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Everyone knows what the deal is with Amazon. They will see 2 years on your resume, and laugh that it is “so Amazon.”
Don’t do it. Not worth it. With an infant hell no!
Got it 👍🏼
If you want the baby to reject you join Amazon
Hahaha.. tht sounds like I have a hatred group for Amazon 😛
Wht are you doing in SAP, yoe?

Enjoy moments with your baby. Try after 2 years and target for l6 @200k+
oh god no if u have baby, are you crazy??!?!?!
Ok..I get the picture 😀
Oh, may be if you are satisfied with SAP work life stay there instead of joining a new company especially at this part of life.
If you are expecting a baby, I'd recommend generally staying put in the same place for a while. You'll lose the goodwill and the comfort of familiarity when you move. It's not just Amazon, any new company. Try after a couple years. On a side note, it is unfortunate that the industry still doesn't provide a level playing field for family situations...
I came to Amazon from SAP it's not worth it , stay there.
Moved from SAP and I miss the chilled out culture. And if you are in Newtown Square thats a bomb ass HQ and I miss how tight everyone was and the cool events we used to have. If only it was not in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, I would have considered staying. Also the pay was great for east coast. I heard Palto Alto is a different ball game and being in Tc obsessed Silicon Valley, the Tc is much lower than neighboring companies
Enjoy the peace at SAP Dont join amazon if u have another option
That bad.. huh 😔 salary was a huge factor and FAANG has its charm. But I’m worried if it comes with tooo much stress. I can’t work for 8-10 hours a day at least for a year. Thanks for sharing though!
8 hours is my dream
