SDET interviews

Hello, I have been working as application automation engineer at Workday for more than 7 years and make peanuts šŸ„œ. Job market is so hot, I would like to start interviewing. I have not used any selenium or programming language in 7 years. I have so many recruiters reaching out to me, I want to start preparing for coding challenges, I am looking for training ( 1-1) who can help me. I have used python and Java script in the past. Please let me know if you know any such training available?

If you're looking at Google/Meta you will have an also mirrored interview compared to an SDE (LC) with some focus on testing rather than production systems. Don't worry about not knowing selenium :)

OP, did you only work on WATS? šŸ¤£

Iā€™m confused. How do you do automation without code?

Excellent question! The answer is one of many proprietary (read: talent retention šŸ¤£) tools where ā€œautomation engineersā€ click buttons and checkboxes and fill in various blanks to automate test cases. This internal tool is appropriately named WATS (as in What is that?). Itā€™s built to work with the internal ā€œprogramming languageā€ XO. Working in this ā€œlanguageā€ will get you the same effect of drinking too much Johnnie Walker. šŸ¤£

Lol thatā€™s a real talent retainer šŸ¤£
