Im interested in getting thoughts on salaries and levels at Microsoft/Amazon/Google/Facebook for marketing roles - Manager, Sr Manager, Lead, Channel Marketing Manager, etc. There is a ton of info on tech roles but I'd like to understand how tge levels snd salaries/TC align for non-tech. How does total years experience weigh in vs required years of experience. I have 20 years experience leading teams for top tier manufacturers but most positions i see are only requiring 5-7 years. I sold to someone recruiting for a Sr Channel Manager position and was told it was a Level 5. Any ideas on Comp? #marketing #channel #salarycomparison #non-tech
Base salary for L5 marketing at big tech is usually around $150k - $180k.

I'm at Amazon, Marketing, L5. TC $150k
You can find marketing TC threads on blind by searching "marketing TC"
Very curious on how YOE vs TC reflects as well! Also minimum YOE required on a JD is usually the level and not necessarily the average YOE. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong on this theory). Most folks on my team at L5 are 6-10+ YOE with L6 being 6- 15+ YOE. At L5, my base is 140k at Amazon on the PMM side. Not sure if that’s good or bad as it’s my first venture into FAANG

Fired without warning, no severance. Top performer.
Not very good. Usually 20 to 50% below eng
Just because a profession makes less than engineers doesn't mean they're not making good money. Tech pays the highest marketing salaries by far. Saying it's not good because it's less than engineering is like saying software engineers don't make good money because they don't make as much petroleum engineers.
I don’t think you understand what I am saying.
