Salesforce Job Offer
Deloitte SM4 on Partner track; high chances of making it next year. I have a compelling offer; need some advice to make up my mind. Offer - $260k base + $1.3M in RSU (yearly vesting schedule of 4 years) + guaranteed stock refreshers every year ($1.3M). Upside - I could make more than $1.5m p.a. from year 4 onwards but I would need to stick around for long term. Should I take this offer (bird in hand) or stick around for Partner life with Deloitte.

What’s SM4 stand for?
It sounds like you are not even in the partner process that takes around 2 years, so I recommend a reality check first. What’s the title at Salesforce? Would it allow you to jump back to Big4 as a partner if you didn’t like it in tech? Not enough data to give a valid advice. Also doesn’t Deloitte US have Director level? You can’t jump from SM4 to Partner.

If they did not write guarantee refreshers in offer which I am sure they did not, do not believe them. SF is notorious of not giving refreshers. I moved from SM to Uber/Airbnb/snowflake/servicenow - level company and do not regret it one bit. You work 1/2 and get pid double. Bonus perk you sleep in your bed and see your kids every day..

Agree - The initial 1.3 may be legit (seems high), but the refresher is definitely not guaranteed esp in todays climate. If you DO have it in writing - go for it! I am SF now, ex big 5. Much better here.

I have worked at Salesforce for 5 years and never received a single refresher. I am just saying.
