I was interviewing with SAS and I didn’t hear back from them since 3 weeks. I got an email from recruiter that my skills doesn't match. I understand every company has different language and different internal working process. But I didn't understand how a manager can judge a person in a half an hour phone call. All we discussed was what do I do now, why I applied for the position and what does this position ask for. One question he asked me was " What is Cpk?" I told him, "its a process capability index used to understand statistical measurement of a process’s ability to produce parts within specified limits. Cpk particularly tells if your process is centered between the specification limits. His answer was "you are completely wrong". I was shocked to hear his answer.
My current TC is an electronics company. I have 6 YOE and a Master's degree in Quality.
TC means total compensation. When you post on blind, you are required to provide TC/YOE in the post itself
Total compensation for my current compnay??
Those jobs pay under 100k anyways
Some people don’t care about making a good living
WTF on Cpk! What was his answer?? Your answer is not incorrect in any way. Could this have been a PERM job posting?
You probably dodged a bullet. Samsung contacted me about 2 months ago wanting to interview. I didn’t even bother
Must have been quality role? Nee leader and other leaders are useless and have no experience on managing
Yes you are correct. That was a position for Quality. I have 8 years of experience in Quality in automotive industry out of which I have 3 years Quality exp in electronic industry. After the interview I checked manager's profile, he was from chemical engineering background.
Good, you are saved. He could have google cpk formula. That question doesn't serve any purpose.
Ur current TC/YOE? Ur answer on CpK is not wrong.
