Canceling debt isn’t inflationary or costing tax payers
I'm working full time for my Canadian employer but looking at incorporating after I get my Canadian PR. I was wondering if there are folks here in Blind who are self employed and work as consultant for US companies, remotely. First, is this even possible? Can a US based company pay you salary or do you need to have any third party payroll processor or how does this work? What factors do you consider for the hourly rate because you aren't getting any US benefits like 401k, health insurance etc. How does it affect tax filing? I can't move to US yet as I don't have any visa sponsorship and not eligible for TN visa as not Canadian citizen. YOE - 10 years
Possible as a contractor. The US company will pay to your company (incorporated). You pay business tax. Consult with an accountant.
