I have about 50 amzn stocks. Is it wise to sell them and invest in motilal oswal nasdaq 100 fund, https://www.moneycontrol.com/mutual-funds/motilal-oswal-nasdaq-100-etf/portfolio-overview/MMO003? I'm from India and can't buy selected nasdaq stocks from here. TC: 118k Yoe: 9
Why cant you pick US stocks? I'm from India and I hold AMC
Yes. I use stockal and have a big US Equity portfolio investing from India. Great option
I didn't know about stockal. Is the ltcg taxation on these still 10%?
Depends. 50 stocks = 1 cr + Depending on your net worth, this might be a very big portion or a very small one to risk in a single stock
It is 50% of my liquid nw.
Don't sell hard earned zero cost equity of gems like Amazon and msft. I spent around 10 yrs in MSFT and have not sold a single share and most of my big grants were when msft was under 60
how many years did you work at amazon?
amazon will still grow. better not to sell since you will pay capital gain tax and returns might not be worth it
AMZN has been doing really well are you expecting a correction?
It's a significant amount and I don't want to risk it all in a single stock. I'll anyways be getting new grants. And my wife holds some grants as well.
