I'm being offered 16 lpa + 1 lpa joining bonus by Paytm. The team is I guess commtech or common tech, not totally sure. Actually, I was under the impression that I was interviewing for Paytm Merchant banglore team but later while salary discussion hr told me it's for Noida location to which I told I can't relocate to Noida. So, they decided to move me to the other team in Banglore. In terms of work, work culture and wlb should I join Paytm? I have heard a lot of bad reviews regarding Paytm. But, it would be a huge stepping stone too. I also have an offer from Gupshup with 15 fixed + 1 lpa(joining bonus) + 1.5 ( performance bonus) + 500 rsu. Also, it is completely remote work. I have 2.5 years of experience as a Frontend developer and my current CTC is 10.6 lpa. Can anyone share their experience at Paytm or if anyone has heard about common tech team at Bangalore location? And what according to you would be a better choice? #tech #frontend #paytm #e-commerce #retail #offer #engineering
WLB sucks here. Esops vesting for 5 years π₯±. Paytm brand name in your resume might attract other MNCs but i am pretty sure you will leave within a year. Most of the employees leave within 6 months because of work life balance. Tech is good and evolving but again due to fast paced environment devs used to hardcode a lot of things with huge tech debts. Hope that helps
Same culture at Paytm money as well?
No proper testing at all due to high requirements and fast delivery. And finally endup fixing bug whole night.
