Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
I have a phone interview coming up and was just curious what to expect from a SpaceX (Starlink Firmware Engineer) first stage phone interview. Will this be mainly talking about experience and qualifications or be more involved and include technical interview questions? #spacex #phoneinterviewquestions #starlink
Check with recruiter. But its a sinking titanic so be wary.
☝️ words of wisdom
Are you saying SpaceX is sinking entirely as a company? Do you think the Starlink project is just sinking too much money to be able to turn a profit?
If you like low salary, long hours, hostile work environment, and mostly outdated technology and designs, go for it. And be prepared to be micromanaged unlike anything you may have seen before. It it unbelievable how engineers with tens of years of experience are micromanaged and just leave the ship. The technology designs are pretty outdated too, mostly because the network architects (if you could call them that) are misfits without the relevant backgrounds, but still amazingly engage in extreme turf wars to build as much of empires as they can. The upper management themselves have no clue about this domain, so you cannot really fault them for this "free for all" state of affairs. From the outside you may be drawn in by the celebrity images and press hoopla, but inside it is a different picture.
Thank you for this very insightful comment! I had assumed some of that stuff such as outdated designs would be inevitable, but definitely seems far worse than I would have imagined.
Sounds like there are major issues?
Tell them you think their stock price is too high, just like Elon’s tweet
Genius! I'm predicting offer on the spot if I do that!
