Does anyone know if there’s anything I should consider regarding the system design question for Square? They give the question before hand so I’m wondering if that means they expect a super polished answer or go into not so obvious areas? Basically just wondering what the reason is for giving this info out beforehand.
to replicate the real world. you never have to design a system on the spot. some people are good at doing it all in an interview, but others are not...even if they are good engineers. so this removes some bias. ...so yeah, do a good job.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
They are pretty knowledgeable about the question and quite critical of any flaws. I’d say be confident in your design decisions
