160k or less for base, then bonus for first 2 years and rsus

That's interesting, I had in person interview Friday. I asked for 225K and recruiter told me that was High and said she discuss about the specifics after the in person interview
You expect the recruiter to just say "oh yeh sure no problem your request is at the bottom of the range and you could have asked for more"? It's all a dance.
If sr is L6, can be L5 as well
Sr L5 what would the range ? And what would it be for L6 Sr?
Everything depends on the interview.
depends on what you negotiate. I've been on teams where an L5 was earning more than an L6 because they were better at negotiating their salary.
Agreed, but these L5's don't get any hike until they get to L7 which is easily 4 to 6 years.
They got back to me and offered 170K which is 10K less than what I am making. Should I reject the offer? How much can I negotiate over their initial offer? I want to hear from your experience in the past.

Paysa, everyone inside Amazon knows that base salary caps at 160K. How can you say base salary is more than 160K. Also there is no bonus apart of sign on bonus. Your Sr TPMs base comp is also like way more than 160K.
