What do you folks do to ensure you stay physically and mentally healthy ? Example - putting fitness time on calendar and being sincere towards it Planning meals (I don’t do it but want to do it. Hasn’t become a habit yet). Doing meditation at the start of the day. (Used to do it but don’t do it anymore because I became lazy on this one).
Work out and do the needful.
I walk to work for exercise and decompression. While I'm walking I listen to audiobooks for mental stimulation too. If I could keep up this habit for the rest of my life I will. Mental and physical stimulation, relaxation before and after work, and I avoid a lengthy commute.
I do fitness classes, own a spin bike, perform regular fasts and walk whenever I can.
Are fasts useful? I feel like I will pass out if I skip meals
Eat a low carb diet and intermittent fasting comes very easy
Just work out daily, have your chef make healthy foods, and meditate/relax between therapist visits.
Your desire to workout is function of vitality and energy you have in your body. That energy is function of what you eat. So - alpha and omega to having active lifestyle and feeling good starts in your plate. So, read Eat to live book by Dr Fuhrman or watch his YouTube videos. Stay away from Keto diets. You will lose weight gain superb health and will want to exercise really badly as you will be bursting with energy. So spend this week educating yourself about Whole high plant based diet and figuring out where and what to eat. By end of week as you feel better start figuring out what kind of exercise you can be good at and succeed. Then do that.
Thanks
If you are a married person, other responsibilities will come in the way of fitness. So, find a way to make your family time fun
I ride my bike to work. 35 km round trip!
Nice! From where ? Is there a trail ?
No; urban streets. My employer is at the far edge of Tokyo and I live in the middle. Used to be a 10 minute ride!

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
I do all of these things. My biggest tip is to go to bed early and do them in the morning. It’s so much easier to knock all of that stuff out before work since you will likely be too tired at the end of the day.
I used to do this, and then I realized I was exhausting energies before I even started my (work) day. Some people get energized this way like inertia. More power to you. Some people lose steam this way as a form of procrastination. I'm in the latter camp and do not recommend.
Interesting, I focus on my mental health and physical health after dinner. I spend 8pm-12am to do physical and mental exercise
