TC130 too high for Twitter SF New Grad?
During my final round with #Twitter through #TwitterU for IT Apps Engineer, they asked for expected compensation and I blurted out 130 if I end up in SF. I saw π³, and then π» 130 is Glassdoor San Francisco average + confirmed in many YouTube "life at twitter new grad" for Software Engineering. Is IT Apps not in the same $ bracket as Software Engineer?

Always ask for more⦠130k is pretty dang low for San Francisco. You are new so you will be surprised at how much money you can make in this industry
Maybe I should've said I'd expect 80k in a cheaper city. They said "it depends where you live what you'd get" a couple times.

If they are actually the same then why would they have different job titles.
Welp I'm starting as SWE some other place now so. I thought both titles have equivalence importance.. I thought it's like an alias for internal tools software engineer
