Tesla is one of the most evil companies today... In 2017 and 2018, as some workers sought to form a union at the Tesla factory in Fremont, California, Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company was paying a consultancy, MWW PR, to monitor employees in a Facebook group and more broadly on social media, according to invoices and other documents reviewed by CNBC. Two things that MWW PR watched closely were discussions alleging unfair labor practices at Tesla, and about a sexual harassment lawsuit, according to the documents describing their work. The records show that Tesla paid MWW PR to monitor a Tesla employee Facebook group, monitor Facebook more broadly for commentary on organizing efforts, and to conduct research specifically on organizers, going on to develop labor communication plans, media lists, and pitches based on their reconnaissance. A global communications director for Tesla during the time, Dave Arnold, had ties to the PR and consulting firm the automaker hired to do this work. He was employed at MWW for about 4 years from 2011 through 2015 as a vice president, following a stint as as a communications director for former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) according to a press release from MWW announcing his hire. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/02/tesla-paid-pr-firm-to-surveil-employees-on-facebook-in-2017-union-push.html
Guess what? They are on Blind too. Not just Tesla.
Who cares? The union protection laws are unconstitutional garbage. If a company doesn't want union workers they should be free to refuse.
Look into Taft Hartley act if you really think that... That is the major "labor law" in practice and it is an ANTI-Labor law... If we went your route and got rid of the law... It would legalize wildcat strikes and other forms of striking again.... Which I'm all for... But I bet. You aren't. ;) Next time try to be more educated on your bad takes ;)
Wildcat strikes are not illegal. You do not go to jail for participating nor will you be fined in any way. Union workers are generally weak and have jobs that can be easily replaced which is why they need the government to force companies to bargain with them.
Who’s paying you!!!! Who sent you here!!
why would you need to hire a pr firm for this?
Crazy how naive the Facebook founders were. They thought they were so clever saying "let's connect people" as a cover for their real mission of meeting chicks. Their cheap hipster cynicism helped create the building blocks for totalitarian surveillance of everyone always - they were just too unimaginative to know that's what they were building.
So their stock will goes up right. 👍
