Doesn't Netflix own great portion of Roku? After all, Roku was created by Netflix.
Netflix and Roku are two separate companies. They have always been great partners and the CEO of Roku use to work at Netflix. Netflix didn't want to be a hardware company, but Roku has evolved into more of a platform today.
The number only compares domestic growth. Kind of misleading, most of Netflix's growth is coming from overseas. While Roku benefits a lot from cord cutting secular trend, it's not clear how big the international potential is. Its time for you to wake up, look up Telstra TV 1, Telstra TV 2, Telstra TV 3 (Australia), Sky TV, Streaming stick (UK, Italy, Spain), PLDT Tvolution, Globe Streamwatch (Phillipines) - All Roku devices. Roku is the #1 smart TV OS in the US. 1 in 3 smart TVs sold in the US run Roku OS.
Yes, in US. And most US households already have an OTT device.
Love my Roku devices! So much better than Amazon or other device.
