Theres not an explicit list on Levels.fyi besides best of 2019, so they might need feature request. Anyone know what website has a reputable list? what am i missing? From scouring around best guess is its likely the somewhere along the lines of the following: 1. Facebook 2. Snap 3. Netflix 4. Pinterest 5. Lyft 6. Google 7. Uber 8. Linkedin 9. OCI 10. Stripe 11. Dropbox 12. Apple 13. Twitter 14. Oracle 15. Microsoft 16. Salesforce 17. Amazon 18. 19. 20. AirBnB (RSU est. @10%, no foreseeable IPO) #leetcode #leetcode #leetcode ... 20. ? TC $205K YOE 1.5
Google should appear lower on the list. Their package number is not that good
Where should Google fall too?
Probably above Amazon and Apple
How is amazon so high on the list? Their pay is not top tier at all
How many spots down for Amazon?
Is this purely based on offer package and not stock speculation? If so, like 20th lol
credit karma
Lol total comp? YOE?
How much they offering?
Also Microsoft and LinkedIn are not the same, LinkedIn pays >> Microsoft
Why is Airbnb so high up? Isn't most of their fake paper money going down bigly with covid?
Ok where should AirBnB be on here? Just eyeballed levels
I'd discount the equity by 80-100% which would place them somewhwre at the bottom of the pack. They are not going public anytime soon with lots of uncertainty about their future with covid - travel sector has basically shut down now. Competitive advantages over hotels also are not as strong as years ago. When was the the last time you booked Airbnb yourself?
Microsoft is definitely not #3 on this list, and isn’t the same as LI as far as I know ie. Snap and G pay way more
Right I grouped Microsoft with LinkedIn bc of ownership, but I will split them since there’s a big difference. Same with OCI and Oracle
Snap should be 2 or 3. Pins should be there too. 5-6.. Uber/lyft offers are much more than Apple. You only make money at Apple if you stay a while, initial offers are not that great
Thanks for your input I will be moving Apple to 10 then, how is Apple TC in comparison to Microsoft/Oracle/Amazon (non LinkedIn, Non OCI)? By experience or ballpark is fine
Apple beats Microsoft oracle and amazon for sure
Doing update 1 on 3/20/2020 Pacific. Lowering G, Splitting MS/Li, Splitting OCI/Oracle, moving Snap up, moving amazon down, raising Lyft and Uber + Dropbox, Twitter, Pinterest, Salesforce Any new suggestions?
Are you going by average TC? I think for that Lyft - Google - Uber - LinkedIn - OCI
Yep going by average total comp. Noted, where should they go respectively on the number scale above?
Update 3/21/2020. Moving some of the middle companies around. Notably LinkedIn down..
Looks better than before. Does OCI really pay that much more than oracle?
Yes. Base salary bands are similar. But the RSU packages are significantly different per year. 4-5x stocks, and large signing bonus if you’re from AWS or Azure.
Levels is wrong about LinkedIn, they definitely don’t pay as much as the levels average
Ok so if we split LinkedIn and Microsoft where should they go respectively?
I’d say LinkedIn below google and Microsoft above oracle
