Topics for 1-on-1 with manager or higher bosses
My manager has setup recurring 1-on-1 meetings with me, once every two weeks. What topics should i discuss during these 1x1 meetings? In general, what topics do you guys discuss? How about with super bosses, like directors and VPs- What should we discuss with them in 1x1s?
Don't discount that this is also a great time to connect with them as a person. How is their family doing? Ultimately business relies on relationships. This is a great opportunity to build one.
Still in Oracle? There is no career advance anyway, so no need waste time on 1:1

Build rapport as a person. Tell them the most interesting thing you discovered in the past month. Find out what narratives and mental models are in their head. Find out what their objectives and goals are in the next half and try to figure out how you can help them.
