Folks at Blind who are in visa, Did it ever happen to you wherein the Lawyers came back and said that the transfer is Approved, but when you checked your case status on the online USCIS portal, it still showed that it's pending/inprogress? It happened to me recently. I asked the Lawyers and this is what they replied: "The USCIS case portal does not act as a definitive database regarding your case status - we received confirmation of the approval from the USCIS Premium Processing Unit, so rest assured the case has been approved! We will update you shortly upon receipt of the H-1B approval notice" I need to submit my resignation at my current company but what ticks me off is that i do not have any proof apart from the verbal communication the attorneys gave. Is it safe to resign? TC: 106K YOE:10
What was the total duration??
1st May: Filed 8th May: Receipt generated (Cal center) 15th May: Lawyers communicated that transfer was approved
Thanks for the timeline — when did you notify your current employer?
Yes. My wifes petition got approved in Feb and she got her I797 in a week. The status still shows “your case has been received”
Thank you! i think at this moment, i'll just go with the lawyers said and submit my resignation since they want me to join soon.
Yes, all the best at your new place.
Yes. Trust the lawyers. The case status page is not updated sometimes.
My case was approved on Mar 25 and the page still shows case is received.
Case shows as ‘Approved’ on myuscis but still shows as ‘Pending’ on egov.uscis.gov so I’m guessing those systems take some time to sync.
For me, both the my accounts page and the online non accounts page do not show approved. Its a BS IT systems and maintenance they have in place.
Government shutdown has caused a huge backlog for databases to update and get in sync 😜

What is the minimum number of years you should spend at a company so that it doesn’t look bad?
Ask the lawyers for the document. If so, you should be good to resign. With premium processing transfers take upto 2 to 3 weeks max
