Hello folks I’m currently actively looking for SDE roles in the UK, and I’m aiming to get a sponsorship for a tier 2 visa (skilled worker). Anybody has a prior experience with this? How easy/hard is it? What companies are the most likely to offer sponsorship? I could also use some tips on converting a graduate visa to a work visa.. TC: 36K YOE: 2.5
2.5 years at Amazon?
Nope, only the 0.5 is at Amazon
Where are you based? That salary seems rather low.

Visa basically comes down to company having applied for permission to sponsor, then sponsoring you at a high enough salary. Assuming no red flags that would cause them so deny you visa for non-work reasons. The minimum salary for the type of work you’ll be doing is whichever is the highest out of the following 3 options: £25,600 per year £10.10 per hour the ‘going rate’ for the type of work you’ll be doing
I think I could easily top that. I have decent experience and I’m expecting L5 by end of year. But it’s not just about the compensation is it?
Well, you would need to pass B2 English language exam also. It’s not like US visa process with endless proofs and paperwork.
DM for JP Morgan UK. They provide visa sponsorship

It’s an option, but I’ll have to do it through relocation. I’m still L4 so that could easily take two years
