Hi Blinders, I have my upcoming interview for a PM role (Non-Tech )with Tesla next week and I am really nervous. Can anyone please help me with the following questions: a) I have been asked to make a presentation about a specific product that i have worked on and additionally a few slides about myself. Any tips on how to approach and what could be the evaluation rubric? b) My recuiter told me that it will be a 4 hour interview with few people on ZOOM. Is that the norm? What can I expect? Any general advice would be helpful. Thanks :) Current: TPM at AWS TC: 130k
I did not interview at Tesla, but this sounds more like hiring based on your past experience. Standard PM skills. Make sure all your responses are rationals. Good luck!
Dude it's basically a shit show. They would hire you since you worked at Amazon unless you don't screw up. The hiring isn't high bar and everyone there basically jump shipped from small companies except a very few top line exec's or kids alluded to Elon's mantra who are compensated very well. Piece of advice is to avoid auto as it's not tech and the progress is really slow. I worked at 901 and almost everyone was overworked and needs to take Elon koolaid. I came to a conclusion he uses any possible way to get attention. Autopilot team does a great job other than that they don't know how to build car's yet. Building cars isn't like commiting codes. Auto is facing sluggish growth but Tesla just pump and dump $2B last month, which isn't ethical by any morals. This is coming from someone who worked in world's biggest auto corps.
Thanks a lot friends.. I have been also asked to prepare a presentation. Does anyone know how they judge you on that? Amazon doesn't have ppt culture and I am very bad at those.. Thanks :)
How was your presentation? Have one coming up.
how did it go?.
Do you know what team/area you are interviewing for?
Bring up a time that you foresaw a technical implementation obstacle in the business requirements, and was able to push back on an unrealistic deadline by yourself without having to be told by the devs
Thanks so much. Can I DM you? Would love to have a small chat if possible. Thanks :)

Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
Yeah don’t go to Tesla. Unless you enjoy building cars more than being alive. Enjoy getting used to sucking Elon’s metaphorical dick on the reg along with all your equally underpaid overworked starry eyed visionaries.
Vocal, aren’t we?
Is it really that bad for all roles?
