Questions in title. I don’t have much vision after what to do next after SA / Presales. Been doing that for ~4 years now. (Mainly AWS/GCP) TC : 160K
Just like any other career, you have to decide what you want to do next. Are you interested in Management? I would move into management or try to get into Google or Amazon where you will have endless opportunities.
Do you want to leave the SA Realm or stay? Are you interested in Consultancy? Management? You have so many options. Also, I’m in the same both...
I would go the management route and rake in the money!
Consultancy not that much. I feel like I would do great as a manager but “management” is broad and I feel like there are very few roles of presales manager out there. So maybe find another manager role, but I’m not sure which more nor the skills I would need to develop. I would need to do some research. Thanks for the input :)
My guess is your career path should naturally be wherever your passion lies? Sounds to me like presales isn't something you aren't necessarily into.
I’m into presales, the mix of SA and closing deal is exciting but I’m getting tired of it because it can be both amazing if you’re working in pair with a great sales, or terrible if you have to work with a sales that is totally clues less and who doesn’t want to learn anything. I feel like I could have more impact as a presales / sales manager where I could “coach” the guys but I feel like there isn’t a lot of presales management roles out there. Everybody says “go into management” but “management” in itself seems pretty broad, and I don’t really know where and what to look for
@AcPN14 .. Try being a practice lead for a start and see how you enjoy it.
