I have this honey that I bought three years ago in New Zealand, just looked it up, and apparently honey never goes bad. TIL
Honey found in Egyptian burial chambers was still edible even after thousands of years.
Dried sugar also doesn't go bad. The problem is how you can keep the moisture out
yeah but the container its stored in can go bad (like plastic leeching in)
After about 1 year it'll start to degrade. It is still edible, but you loose some of the health benefits. Or much quicker if it's exposed to heat. In either case, it's best to reserve it for cooking and buy a fresh jar from a local beekeeper ; but eating it won't harm you. If it's not in a sealed container, it will absorb moisture from the air and ferment. That is good for trash. That's why the bees dry it up and seal it in the combs! :)
Neither do NZ ladies :)
I’ll have to book a flight 😈
Real honey doesn’t, the one you buy in stores does.
Manuka?
It can, if the moisture content goes up. It isn’t magic.
