Volvo Certified VOLVO XC40 CPO Hi Everyone, I’m in the market for XC40 CPO. I have been looking for a month now and able to finalize a car that has around 8k miles on it. Dealer is not negotiating(is this the case with Volvo, I mean do they negotiate at all?). In total the price is $35k out the door. I’m Looking to finance with Volvo. Model: Xc40 2021 Rdesign. These are my questions: 1. Is the price okay or should I negotiate( if not by price but like warranty or other) 2. When I ask the dealer, they are saying it is certified. Is there any way for us to verify? 3. If it is a CPO vehicle, do we get 1 year extra warranty. Thanks for your time. Appreciate your help.
I would be very careful buying a used European unless it’s a Porsche or a reliable 6 cylinder German engine.
Well it's not really European anymore
Volvo owner here. I personally prefer the new android system over the old version. I have never bought CPO. But, one of my wife coworkers just got 2021 XC60 T8 CPO. He got $1000~2000 discount. I don't remember exact number. Based on the lease hacker brokers, they usually offer 10% discount. If you're a costco member, you will get another rebate. So the price delta may be smaller than expected.
Thank you. What’s your experience is like?. Do you recommend? Dealer mentioned that there is a Costco discount so I’m good. Do you recommend getting an extended warranty?. On this car there is about 2.5 years warranty left.
I lease Volvo every 3 years or 2 years. It depends on the lease program. Me and my wife really love Volvo. The seat is so comfy. If you prefer the sporty driving, BMW would be much better. Safety features saved me a couple of times. I don't know if it is reliable. I drove around 44k miles right before returning last one. There was no critical trouble. Volvo software system is sometimes buggy. Software bugs can be usually fixed when the dealership updates the system. My friend bought S90 CPO and drove over 80k miles. He told me that he didn't have major mechanical troubles. How much is the extended warranty? If the price is reasonable, I would buy later. You can buy the extended warranty before factory warranty is expired. That's what the dealership told me. I forgot to say Aplan. Check if your company has signed up for the partner program. If you're still working for Amazon, you are eligible for the APlan. Another $500 rebate with the costco rebate. https://aplanbyvolvo.com/Public/RegisterNew/Partner I recommend to ask on /volvo subreddit. You'll be able to hear more opinions regarding the reliability. I used to read the postings
I'mma tailgate you in my XC90
Eh they're Chinese owned and made now. May as well get a different European make

Why wouldn’t you buy a 2023 that starts at $37k? What’s the price delta vs new?
Features I’m looking for are not there in basic model. Overall the price delta is about 17k
