O1 still needs a sponsor
I have a profile suitable for such a transition and I've been contemplating about this for some time ... What's the best way to take this forward ?
What is the success rate and where are the testimonials
It is hard to get O1 visa from h1b as O1 needs exceptional abilities. How do you prove that? Also, if it is that easy to transition, people will never be on h1b. Can you tell me what is your success rate? I bet it will be less than 5%

Does O1 result in EB1
Nope. You can reuse materials such as recommendation letters and good portion of the petition.
Majority of my friends with advanced degree were not lucky to get H1b in lottery so they went for O1 and eventually EB1A.
