Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
Really feeling this article. Hopefully we settle on 3 to 4 days in the office, 1 to 2 at home. https://www.wsj.com/amp/articles/companies-start-to-think-remote-work-isnt-so-great-after-all-11595603397 #remotework #wfh
I hope it’s WFH 5 days a week. My life couldn’t have been better. All the fake alarmism around productivity not being there is just fear mongering by the real estate firms who’ll lose shit tons. Who said that they didn’t have it coming?
No kids?
But see, after corona is hopefully gone, kids will be in school and we can wfh in peace.
WFH barely just got going. Commit to a better life for your employees and a breakup of the 3 city tech workforce. Diversity it is.
The people that want to go back to the office are the ones that use the time to shoot the shit with their colleagues. If you are actually working, you don’t really give a damn if you are sitting in front of a computer in an office or at home. Saving a ton of time on the commute is a huge win. I think companies are going to have to fight an uphill battle to get employees back into the office.
If you work in a cave maybe.
I personally like wfhonce every other friday. I'm finding it hard to be able to comprehend what is being g said by everyone during a meeting with 5 plus ppl
Hahaha
You need your kids to go back to school.
Yup, the cracks are beginning to show in WFH. Been trying to make that case to upper management to get my team back in the office. Reduced cooperation and new hires are totally lost and ramping up too slow.
Going back to the office is incredibly selfish and irresponsible. Hundreds of thousands if not millions more are going to die...
Left up to you, you’ll want to sit on your ass the whole year. No wonder Oracle is the way it is. Yes, I do not want a remote team. Got all the social distancing / masks / sanitizers / BLM flags / MAGA hats (?!) ready for everyone. The world needs to adapt to Covid. Common sense and following regulations to re-open the economy is necessary. Companies like Broadcom are doing something similar.
As an introvert, WFH is a blessing. In fact, my communications are much better as I over-communicate over chat rather than dreading to have a conversation with small talk. My productivity is off the roof. Totally hoping that I dont have to go back.
I feel exactly the same way. Extremely productive since I save time I used to anticipate people coming and starting a small talk which almost always leads to them asking for things that would involve context switching.
Introvert thread has 57 likes and only one comment 😂
Dont forget we are WFH during a pandemic situation. WFH experience will be much better once the schools, gyms and stuff are open.
This. WFH the way we have it now is not the true wfh experience.
Which is conveniently ignored by all these articles ain't it? My wife and I were burning midnight oil to get a full day's work through, even with a toddler at home. We never let our productivity down even a for a day, and went above board many days. Imagine how healthy our life would be without a Pandemic but full time wfh. Whatever bull reasons people come up for meeting in office everyday, it cannot justify me losing 90-120 mins in commute everyday.
Love wfh. Lots of flexibilities and controls of your own time. No worries about commute so don’t care to buy/rent places must be near work. No distractions from sillies from the office talks and can take nap whenever you want. Just needs more social activities but I don’t that’s totally doable after the pandemic ends.
That’s just your opinion. There is a reason these articles come out and it wasn’t the preferred choice for most people.
Idosueb, and that is _your_ opinion. The whiners always write articles, today’s WFH isn’t an accurate representation. Why is it that you whiners that spend 5 hours productively working in an office feel so superior to those that have WFH for a decade, contributing more productivity because we are happier and spending the time you waste in a commute doing actual work?
When I hear grind I think of Grindr
I think of Bob’s Burgers 🤷🏻♀️
I'm guilty 💯💯
