Want to break into management consulting, Kinda desperate at this stage. I think I belong to that industry more ,compared to tech. MS in EE, 20months of work exp. Can anyone help with a referral? Would be greatful
You’ve come to the wrong place, Your desperation is clear though
The right place actually
Seems like I’ve seen more management consultants become product managers than vice versa
Many more mgmt consultants end up as “product managers” in dinosaur industries. The ones that make it into tech are the lucky ones.
Can I ask why?
Well, couple of cliche answers- always wanted to find that job that is more dynamic and helps solving business problems and all that jazz, got some good problem solving skills, great with communicating, love to meet new people, discuss ideas. Hectic sounds always fun to me. Good enough for an answer?
cool. Did you go to top uni?
Here on Blind, we don’t consider them the Big anything.
