Got a general email from Niraj that says 1,650 people will be let go, and more news shortly. Has anyone received that layoff email yet? #wayfair

I only got the same one you did. The biggest kick in the pants is the first paragraph how we are in a good place. “First, I want to be clear that there are many things at the company that are going well. We are consistently profitable; we have made meaningful progress to operate more efficiently and effectively; our suppliers see us winning; and most importantly our customers are leaning in and picking us over their other options, which means we’re gaining market share at a fast pace. “

Yes, several colleagues based out of EU have already received emails. People in NA are yet to get.

Wayfair layoffs just hit the business news - 13% of the global workforce and 19% of corporate employees. It's part of a larger weakness starting to show up in the retail sector including rising credit card delinquencies. So sorry for everyone impacted. I have been in your shoes and so has my spouse.
