If you can afford it, take all the time you need to do everything you've been wanting to you. Go travel for a while and do things you couldn't normally do in your life. It'll give you a new perspective on life. Go to Thailand or somewhere affordable in SE Asia, hang out there

If I wasn’t paying so much for rent, I’d definitely do that
The two worst things in life are having a job and not having a job, try to enjoy not having one of those problems
I was hoping for some more insightful answers in this thread. I was preparing to "upgrade" jobs before layoff hit but now I'm wondering what my best option is. I feel behind where I want to be on all parts of interviews, technical, behavioral, and systems design. Now I am wondering if I need to just grab something to hold me over while I keep preparing. I've never had such a low hit rate on applications as now. I have a solid emergency fund but not near enough saved to even consider traveling for a bit. Maybe it is just in my head but I feel the pressure building each day.
