Is this true? You get paid more if you lowball a new employee?
If I was in charge, I'd design some incentive to make sure HR doesn't over pay new employees. Incentives are super tricky though.
Well I don't think HRs decide the compensation Its usually hiring/salary committee and hiring manager
Why ask expected salary if they don't decide the offer?
You don’t think they communicate with the decision makers? And filter out candidates not in range for the role?
