I’m currently a Global Account Manager in biotech (BSc Bioeng), responsible for 15% of my company’s revenue. I frequently see posts of AE’s with TC’s of 250-400k. What specific job titles at what companies should I apply to to get there? I’ve also recently become interested in corporate strategy and am wondering what kind of positions I can move into as a next step after account management. Please help, I need advice!! Many tech companies have healthcare verticals. Going that route is the path of least resistance of getting into SaaS sales. I would recommend Salesforce and AWS if you are looking for high TC. Enterprise account manager or account executive are the titles to filter for. Good luck!
Hunting roles are always going to pay more than farming/account management roles, I can’t speak to the sales ops/strategy roles. But I’d take your experience and apply to a newer biotech startup in the LIMS, MES, ai research or manufacturing systems space. Examples would include Schrodinger, Benchling, Apprentice.io etc for an ENT AE or Strategic AM. Be aiming for 250-300k OTE.
Great, I’ll look into those. Working for a startup was also in the the back of my mind. Thanks for the help!
