Issues with sleep
I work for Amazon Sunnyvale and live in Fremont. The only requirement we have is 3 days RTO. I heard that some Bay Area companies are putting in or already have 50 miles requirement. Basically you can’t be living farther than 50 miles from your assigned job site. If it is true, how do they verify that? Why would they care if someone lives in San Diego and flies to SF to meet 3 days RTO requirement ? Are there companies which enforce such requirement ??
“We live in America for freedom!” Juxtaposed with “live no more than 50 miles from work”
They enforce it by using your address on your paycheck. They use something called and MSA (google it) if the MSA falls within 50 miles of the office MSA, then you likely are in the RTO pool. I wouldn’t lie about your address at work. It has local jurisdiction tax implications for the employer and if caught you could get in trouble.
