Is this even a question.
I think the better question is why companies expect loyalty if they can’t compete. It’s looked down upon to have multiple 1.5 - 2 year stints at companies yet it can drastically increase your TC.
Ask for raise / promotion, then find job at another company. Unlocks non-linear growth.
Boomerang is usually best
Hopping for raises and promos. SOMETIMES staying and fighting works for promos IF youre in a good political / impact position, but staying almost never works for raises. At least in my experience.
