Check SEVP portal-> history tab, if there is an updated entry stating a cap gap with new date as 09/30/2018, then you are through

Only if ur current opt ends before 09/30 it changes. If it end after september.. not gonna update.

Nah, got info (on 04/24) from employer that my application check got deducted, asked me to wait 2~3 days for receipt. Waiting !
Is it Fragomen? Did you ask your employer or they told you on their own?
Did you talk to Immigration folks about check deduction?
