Low context on the nuances of what’s going on. I usually just use Reddit to find a bit of information off a Google search rather than browsing the site/app. Can’t Reddit just make the subreddits public? #reddit
That's pretty much what they are doing, but they are also replacing moderators who took channels private as a punishment. Moderators are getting PIPed.
But the mod are unpaid.
They are always other people who care about communities but not just about the power
Google should remove reddit from results until they get that shit fixed.
Or just remove reddit
We can but we don’t have to rush with it. Users will put pressure on power hungry mods in no time
Because Reddit moderators are volunteers and they don’t want to pay for labor
In this case mods are sabotaging, not volunteering.
Then maybe pay volunteers or moderate yourself? Its crazy how many man children are uoset about not being able to access a website for 2 days that theyre going to throw slurs at the people volunteering their time to handle the trash.
