Why does nothing move Intel stock price

Wasn’t there news yesterday that they won 20bn from the government? Meanwhile a fly lands on a robot and farts and nvda is up 5% on a whim.

Stock price is more dependent on business strength, one time grants wont move it that much unless market has confidence in the company to use it and convert it into a viable business.

Taylor Farms Muut OP Mar 22

Does that mean intel is completely out of the game?

Adobe GenCredits Mar 22

Intel is a great turnaround play but the uncertainty and lack of immediate growth means its valuation is going to be low in near term. High risk, high reward. Really depends on how the company executes. I don’t think it will be trillion dollar stock but $400 bn is possible in 5 years

Why? Do you own stock?

Lol, good analysis.

Intel is dinosaur company getting owned by amd, Nvidia, tsmc, arm.

Meta soxle Mar 22

AMD is a better play

Google ducklips Mar 22

No, both AMD and Intel will lose the CPU battle to custom in the high margin DC, and there’s far less margin in consumer. Intel is a better play due to the foundry.

20B is about the cost of one new state of the art fab. Intels problem is more than just needing one nice fab. At least they finally have a good CEO but will take time to clean up the middle management and rebuild their engineering strengths. Plus they need to at least be competent in GPU before people are confident in their AI business.

Meta soxle Mar 22

The CEO is all talk and hype up Gaudi chip only to show tepid demand in earning calls lol

You guys bullish on intel long term?
