Why it's FAANG not FAAMG

This might be offensive but I'm still wonder in what point Netflix is better company for SWE than MICROSOFT?? It's mostly streaming platform with not the best reputation recently, I've never seen interesting offer from Netflix and in contrary Microsoft has multiple departments which has a global impact. Is there some reason for which MS is lame 😂?

That term originates from stock performance and stock performance alone! Periodt!!! Not wlb, not pay, not prestige.

Deloitte rhaeg96 Jun 16, 2022

It should be MAGA, with the M being Microsoft considering Meta hasn’t actually made a popular product since 2004

Collins Aerospace Bӏind Jun 16, 2022

It should have been MAGA since 2016

Microsoft is not in league of high pay They pay half and expects 25% of work

It's a stock market term. Top Tech Stocks to watch out for. Over the last couple of years, software engineers started using this for the Top Tech Companies to work for (because of Facebook, Google, Apple and Amazon in it.) creating this confusion for many

Not FAAMG, F no longer exist, it should be MAAMG, or GAMMA

Microsoft booyeah Jun 16, 2022

The new term coined by the faang person was MAMAA for Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and Alphabet I think

FANG was coined while Microsoft was still super stagnant on stock price during the Balmer era.
