Will Microsoft layoff low performers ?
I’m a low performer at Microsoft, I joined Microsoft a year back and got 80 rewards and even manager was concerned about my performance . I work in Azure, I’m concerned what will happen to me if Microsoft follows Google and layoff low performers TC 200 K YOE 5 y At MS 1 y
Microsoft seems strong. Do you think it might need to do another layoff? Google was coerced by investors. Microsoft stocks are still holding up I think but again anything is possible.

They do annual layoffs.
Layoff aren't supposed to be perf based. That being said there were posts about those with less than 100 at higher risk of layoff. Your manager being concerned about performance is not good though. You might get pipped which should take another year. But with recession it could come faster

I see. MSFT seems to be doing good right now particularly in Cloud domain and they don't seem have to overhired as much as the other places that are undergoing layoffs right now. Surely one of the safer places to be right now.
