So a labor union may not even raise employee wages but still makes companies nervous. A union, may add more rules to firing. Tesla makes really bold and ambitious claims like delivering a really large number of model 3s. Same thing will come with cybertruck. Unlike your e-commerce companies that can auto scale ec2 instances, Tesla scales by mass hiring and firing. A labor union makes this thing kind of not possible. In addition, during covid outbreak, Elon kept the factory running against the state mandates. Unions would make skirting around health and safety regulations a lot harder
